Tips for marketing success:
- Know, Like, and Trust
- The Know, Like and Trust factor has to be present. If this is the first time the prospect is seeing your content, it will likely take some time for them to become familiar with you before they click on a link and give you financial information.
- Focus on THEIR pain/need
- Prospects will populate their financial information when they understand what THEY can get out of it. The pain you'll be able to solve for them. If they don’t understand WHY, they won't move forward.
- This is often when they have a financial question or even financial pain they want solved. How can you appeal to that need?
- Stay top of mind
- Most people delay getting help from an advisor because it is too painful (stressful, shameful, they are embarrassed), but when the time is right for them, you need to be top of mind.
- That's why consistency is king. The more content you produce that helps them understand how you can help them with their unique challenges, the better off you’ll be and likely appearing in their "inbox" right when they need you.
- Integrate unique CTAs
- On average, people engage with content 7 times BEFORE they do anything about it. Most often, people don’t go from learning about the advisor on day 1 to scheduling a meeting on day 2. It takes multiple interactions.
- Diversify your CTAs. Some examples might be: Attend a webinar. Download this eGuide. Listen to this podcast. Read this blog post.
- Know their lingo
- Especially if you are in a niche, use the words they use and speak to that. Help them feel like you uniquely know them.
- Even if you don’t have a niche, you have a unique thing you do or a reason people come to you… how can you create content around that?
- Do what is easiest for you
- Repurpose content in various ways to get the most out of it. For example, if you like to talk about ideas, then maybe a podcast is a way to go. If you like to write, maybe it is a newsletter or blog. Do what you are able to do over and over again.
- Use AI or other tools to help take the content and turn it into other forms of content. For example, take the podcast episode you have, and use AI to turn it into a blog post, and even a couple of social ads/posts.
