What does "x% of balances are decayed" mean?

This represents the % of account balances that are "decayed", meaning out of date:

  • Liquid and Qualified asset balances are considered decayed if > 3 months old
  • Debt account balances are considered decayed if > 6 months old
  • Real estate asset balances are considered decayed if > 12 months old
  • Business asset balances are considered decayed if > 12 months old

 

So for any account that fits one of those rules, Elements will sum the value of those accounts and divide by total assets plus debts (i.e. absolute value, versus assets minus debts, which is net worth).
